Organizers of the sixth annual FaithFest say preparations are progressing well for another outstanding festival with performances by top contemporary Christian artists combined with worship on the lower campus of Wilkes Community College.

FaithFest is Aug. 27, with a lineup featuring Crowder, Anne Wilson, We Are Messengers, Jordan St. Cyr, Andrew Ripp, Jon Reddick and Jason Crabb on stage in WCC’s Doc & Merle Watson Amphitheater. All seven are in the midst of busy touring schedules.

Gates open at noon and the music starts at 3:05 p.m. The last artist (Crowder) is scheduled to come on stage at 9:10 p.m.

FaithFest is a family-friendly festival, with children 12 and under admitted for free. Activities for children include face painting, carnival style games (including basketball shootout), crafts, a sandbox, and painting. The children’s area is situated where the music can be experienced.

Food vendors coming, mostly beneath a single large tent, are Anna’s Sweet Treats, Carolina Kettle Corn, Chick-fil-A, Dean’s Southern Bistro (“down home” cuisine), Duck Donuts, God’s Smile Factory (ice cream), Island Noodles, Suck It Up Milkshakes, Sunset Slush, Talia Espresso, Village Inn Pizza and Mexican food.

Both artist and FaithFest merchandise will again be offered onsite. There also will be an area with shade for resting and a prayer tent.

FaithFest merchandise includes new T-shirts with short and long sleeves, hoodies, crew neck sweatshirts, kids shirts, hats, visors, umbrellas, chairs, cooling towels, tumblers, mini fans, bags, stickers, decals and more. New this year are kids hoodies and “bucket hats,” with downward slanting brims that shed rainwater. (FaithFest is held rain or shine.)

There is general admission seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, however chair height should not block visibility of the stage for others.

General admission tickets are $35. To order tickets, go to https://faithfestnc.com/#tickets.

FaithFest is a ministry of Wilkesboro-based Craig Church Ministries (nonprofit, 501 (c) (3) and involves the efforts of hundreds of volunteers. It has grown to become a major festival drawing about 20,000 people.

The stated mission of FaithFest is to use worship music (in a variety of genres) and the word of God (via testimonies and preaching) to unite Christian believers, bring people to Christ and bring the community together by sparking a revival.
